STR reserves the exclusive right to contact competent authorities if it identifies illegal activities or violations of STR’s terms of use.

Cookies

The Site may use a technology called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files containing information saved on your computer by the webpage you visit. These cookies help us implement additional functions on the Site and analyze its usage.

There are two types of cookies:

  • One type stores information, such as your username and password, and is saved on your computer as long as you remain logged in to the subscription-based service. If you do not use the “Don’t ask for my username and password in the future” function, these cookies will never be stored.

  • The other type is called a session cookie, used for example to track the language selected on the webpage. While you are on the Site, these cookies are temporarily stored in your computer’s memory. Session cookies are not stored long-term and usually disappear when you close your browser.

By using cookies, STR aims to better tailor relevant information for visitors. If you do not wish to accept cookies from STR, most browsers allow you to configure them to reject cookies. However, this setting may limit the functionality and benefits provided by the Site.

Data Accuracy

STR commits to taking reasonable measures to ensure that the Personal Data collected from you is accurate, complete, and up to date. However, you are responsible for providing only accurate, complete, and current Personal Data at the time of collection. If later you determine that the Personal Data we hold is not accurate, complete, or up to date, upon your written request, we will take reasonable measures to correct such Personal Data.

Security

Although STR cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur, you can be assured that STR takes great care to safeguard your Personal Data and prevent unauthorized access to it by using appropriate technology and implementing proper internal procedures.

Other Websites

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. STR has no control over and is not responsible for the content or privacy policies of third-party websites linked on the Site. Such websites may place their own cookies on your computer and/or use different methods for collecting and managing personal information. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of those third-party websites before using them.

Changes

STR reserves the exclusive right to modify, add, or remove any portion of this privacy policy, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice. Changes to this privacy policy take effect once published on the Site. Continued use of the Site after publication of any changes to this privacy policy will be considered acceptance of those changes.

Governing Law

This privacy policy is subject to Romanian law. In case of disputes, an amicable resolution will first be sought within 30 working days of the complaint being registered at the Student Travel office. If no resolution is reached within this timeframe, the competent court within the same administrative jurisdiction as Student Travel’s headquarters will have authority.
